There is a meals on Wheels program in Alaska What other policy or infrastructure is in place to improve nutrition, care for the most disadvantaged? There is An Older Alaskan Program that cares for the Seniors, as well as many sponsored programs by the US Environmental Protection Agency providing direct support for communities to promote healthy lifestyle in the rural areas of Alaska. Senior Boxes is a supplemental food program aimed to supplement the nutrition of those in need. How much money do some of their nutrition, hunger, health education programs cost? Is it enough $? How much more do they estimate they need to address hunger in their community? ________________ What is their walkability score? Anchorage has a walkability score of 32. How does it compare state-wide, nationally ? The average of the 4 largest cities in Alaska have an average walk score of 22. After taking a closer look into their individual scores, I saw that in the city of Badger, they have a score of just 2. This one score really lowered the the average because the others were at 33,32,and 22. Nationwide the US has a average score of 49, meaning that Cities in Alaska fall well below the national average.
